21 Tips For SEO(Search Engine Optimization)



  1. The First Tip for SEO is the Optimizer must go through all the keywords and select them as per need of the website. For ex if optimizer has to optimize website of cricket than he/she should go through all the keywords related to cricket like cricket, cricket history, sports, cricket world, cricket cups etc.
  2. After Analyzing the keywords Second Tip is that the way for optimizing a website must be legal, ethical because if we used unethical way than Search engine will penalized us and remove from the search list.
  3. Find the Competitors, if you are new to SEO than you must compete with the mid ranker because to achieve the peak point we must go through all the steps and success is come a bit slow so you must have keep patience for that.
  4. URL must have the best keyword so that the search engine can find easily and must use hyphen (-) between words instead of spaces and you must aware of that URL is maximum of 2-3 words. If it is more than 3-4 words than the search engine treats as spam.
  5. Title Tag is most important and have the best keyword. It must have not more than 50-60 Keywords.
  6. Meta Tags is also must filled with the best keywords and it also have limit. Meta Description in which you must describe the best features of website because when it is matched with the user search string than it will show in the search list of the Search engine, and keywords in Meta tag must contain 126 keywords including spaces so put only relevant keyword.
  7. If you use frames in your website please remove frames because for the search engine it will only one URL so the Spider, Crawler trace only one frame and rest is left due to only one URL, So avoid frames in website.
  8. Use Header

    for the main heading of page and h2-h6 for subheadings. Better to use CSS(Cascading Style Sheet).
  9. If you use Images in your website must give the name in “alt” attribute because Search engine can’t read images it only reads text and never leave empty alt attribute please must specify some keyword according to need of website.
  10. IF you are using more contents Like Flash, JavaScript please avoid it because crawler can’t read it.
  11. Loading Time of website must be less if your website takes too much time to load than user will go away without seeing your complete website regardless you have better services, items in your website. So loading time must be less keep your website size in between 15-20KB.
  12. If you want that your website must be indexed than you must place a robots.txt in your root directory of the website. Robots.txt is file for the spider, crawlers and in this file the code is written for bots so that first they read it and then crawl.
  13. Content is the base for any website to be indexed if in your page there are only images and no text than your site never come in top rankings because crawlers can read the contents and SEO experts says that “Content Is king” for any website.
  14. Never Copy the content from somewhere because crawlers can easily find if you copy the content so try to write your content by yourself. Your content must be pure.
  15. “Content Is King” than who is Queen in SEO????? Here is the answer Queens are Links. Links plays very important role in any website; crawlers can read links, use anchor text for the links. Links are also important because when a website is crawled the crawler will go through page and read all text including hypertext and from hypertext it will move on the pages so that your website is indexed.
  16. Use only White Hat technique for your website. It is the technique in which the website is made search engine friendly so that it can be indexed.
  17. Never Use Black Hat/Grey Hat technique to optimize such as keyword stuffing, Article spinning, hidden text, over use of keywords, etc. they can only make our website penalized and remove from the list of search engines.
  18. While writing content please be aware of spellings, try not to do mistakes.
  19. Use social media sites to promote your website like Facebook, Twitter, Buzz, etc. from that you got traffic to your website and this is optimizer wants more traffic means more users will hit on your website and use your services or buy products.
  20. You must have to update your knowledge about SEO in every 3 months because search engine like Google will change the algorithm of indexing in every 3 months.
  21. Last but Not the Least ----Remember Search Engine Optimization requires patience and it gives good and continuous result which are attractive and gives benefit, mainly it takes 3-4months go achieve peak point.
